DR. HAMED MOTAGHI
Dr. Hamed Motaghi is an Associate Professor of Business Technology Management at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO). He serves as the Director of the International Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub at McGill University and is the Chairman of the Board of Business Technology Management.
In his professional practice, Dr. Hamed is part of the Competitive Value Guide team, a business innovation diagnostic tool led by Dr. Sorin Cohn.
Before joining UQO, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. He holds a Ph.D. with distinction on the relationship between creativity and information technologies from a joint doctoral program (UQAM-McGill-Concordia and HEC Montreal) at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He also obtained a Master’s degree from Université Paris Dauphine and an engineering degree from Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, France.
Dr. Hamed Motaghi has extensive experience in distance education, both in designing and organizing online courses. He has taught in both English and French across Canada, the USA, and Malaysia, covering subjects such as e-commerce, information systems management, technology management, creativity and innovation in management, technological innovation management, and entrepreneurship. He has also supervised MBA/MSc and Ph.D. students.
His research interests include information systems management, innovation and creativity, creative and cultural industries, IT-driven transformations, disruptive technologies, and the internationalization processes of firms.
